Categories:
Action: Pulse pounding adrenaline filled thrill rides with car chases and
explosions galore. Have mentioned things probably should go boom.
Humorous/Satirical: Make with funny. No seriously we should be rolling on
the floor with lots of laughter folks.
Serious/Dramatic: Bring out your inner artist and bring on the meaningful
and artist videos, be it a character study, the meaning of a particular story
element or theme. These should make us go, "hmmm, never thought about it
that way before."
Romantic/Sentimental: This is where you break our heartstrings to the best
of your ability. We should be crying by the end of these, I mean real not
a dry in the house moment.
Upbeat/Rhythm: Sometimes you just have to lose yourself in the music, I mean
its not like we have a room for a rave at Pokettokon.
Fan Made Video: Because sometimes that manga was made in a live action movie
or TV series and not anime. Note at least 50% of the content must be Japanese
in origin.

Judging:
A select group of Pokettokon staffers will lock themselves in a room sometime
in December and not come out again until all the entries have been reviewed.
At this time the entries will be judged and pared down to best 5 in each
category. These will be the videos shown at the AMV contest during Pokettokon.
The audience of the AMV contest will determine the winner of the Fan Favorite
award by ballot. Winners will be announced during closing ceremonies on Sunday.
-
Pokettokon staff and guests will not be allowed to submit any AMVs for the
contest, however if there is enough interest we will hold a staff only AMV
showing sometime during the convention.
-
Pokettokon reserves the right to amend and change rules as they see fit before
the convention on Saturday, January 12th. If any changes are necessary we
notify any entries that were submitted prior to the change if time permits.

If we do not receive enough entries the AMV Contest will be replaced with
